It looks like one of the mallow family - lots of them, shrubs and smaller flowers, both wild and garden plants.
Have you scattered a wildflower or butterfly mix of seeds in that area?
Ah yes, I think you're right. We have in the past had them growing wild, but they were the pink variety. I sowed some wildflower seeds last year, but thought nothing had come of them. Pleased it found its way under the radar many thanks

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
