Help with ID please

Does anyone know what this is. It was hidden under

neath the conifer but is now exposed and looking quite pleased about it. The fronds are quite stiff and very sharp at the ends

A phormium perhaps or possibly a yucca
If it's sharp probably the yucca. They can be vicious

Phormiums have a clump forming habit where the leaves all come from one place and yucccas tend to have separate 'trunks' - a bit like cordylines. If you look in amongst it - (carefully!) you might be able to get a better idea.
If that makes any sense
It does look more like a yukka to me.

Could it be a kniphofia?

I am pretty sure this is a yucca, and a really healthy one too! Just watch the spikey ends of the leaves if you have small children, they are very sharp!
