Fleece for brassicas query

I've been growing my brassicas under fleece for a number of years now to avoid root fly and cabbage whites.

I ordered some new fleece the other day and have a puzzle now that it's arrived and I've gone to put it in position.  I ordered 4m width and it's come at 8m - '4m' on the invoice.  Is this a supplier error or am I supposed to put on as a double film - it's 17gsm ?

Rob, I honestly don't know but would think that one thickness is fine doubt root fly will chew through it image and it well certainly keep cabbage whites off as long as it's not touching your plants.

I would check that you've paid for what you ordered and not what they've sent and I doubt they'll want it back if you were to tell them about the extra imageimage Save some for next year image

Hi Fairygirl -according to my mapping software, there are 6 !!  Which one do you want?

They are all 'Old Man' as am I.

Thanks Kef.  Rather my thinking but it is an odd error as really it gives me twice as much as I want.

Maybe a sorting / packing error but hey not often we come out on winning side. No use to firm if you've already cut it up image Stash extra in the shed, I won't tell if you don't. image

Thanks KEF - at £14 inc p & p, the supplier is not going to worry.  My query was based on seeking others experience as to whether it was designed to be put on as a double skin.  To make it handleable in a garden I'm now going to have to cut it to the 4m I want - but then I'm not complaining about getting twice as much as ordered.
