Honeysuckle Scentsation dropping buds

My honeysuckle is smothered with potential flowers, but the buds are looking a bit feeble and dropping off before they open. Why is this happening, and is there anything I can do to stop it?

Bumpety bump!
I've opened up some of the buds and there is a sort of inanimate little larva inside. Any ideas on how I can stop this happening?
