    arum italicum pictum , if I'm not mistaken

    Zantedeschia I think, also known as Calla lilly.

  • I think your right kate - it does look like a Calla Lily and they can have purple flowers. Your also correct Philippa - Calla Lily is one common name for it but some call it Arum Lily but it isn't a true arum (like arum italicum or lords & ladies) or  a trueLily or calla (it is a Zantedeschia).
