My grape vine has no grapes at all on it,I don't know what type it is because it was in the greenhouse when I took the allotment over, its thriving otherwise, just no grapes,I'm thinking of replacing it,how much should I expect to pay? I looked on eBay and they're around 6 or 7 quid

As ChrissieB says, pruning the vine is all-important if it is to produce grapes - lots of info here http://www.readsnursery.co.uk/grapevine-care/ .
Reads are one of the best fruit nurseries there is - they supply various varieties of grapes - if you do need to replace yours you couldn't do better than to buy from them and seek their advice.
I have no relationship with them other than as a very satisfied customer.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Just found out it was planted in October 2009,it looks quit mature, the main trunk is about 40mm thick
Hi Darren - I've been growing a vine in my greenhouse for some 20 years so have a reasonable amount of growing knowledge. That's phrased to avoid saying I'm experienced!!
A 40mm thick stem at the base is a fairly mature vine I think - based on my Black Hamburg at ~20 yrs with a 50 to 60mm diameter.
Some details would help -
Where are you?
What shape and size of g/h (mine's a lean-to on a brick wall) ?
Is it single stem (how long) or multiple stems?
I don'r agree with Read Nursery's comment about pruning - it's easy but does depend on some of the answers to the above so come back and we'll continue the discussion.
