Help needed to identify blossom tree

Hi,

We've spotted a blossom with really deep pink, almost purple blossoms but I can't identify it after several hours of hunting online for it.

We'd really like to get one for the garden so would appreciate any help in identifying it.

Can you get a close up of the leaves?

Is the picture current or taken earlier in the season?

One of the red hawthorns is a possibility but it's too far away to be sure

  • Hi, thanks for the response, it was taken 2 weeks ago. I can certainly drive past it and get a close up on the leaves, hopefully put up in a few hours

Right. Leaves, bark, flowers even if they're nearly over. It all helps
