geranium plugs
in Plants
Earlier in the year I bought some geranium plugs from a local (reputable) garden centre.
I potted them on in good compost to 3" pots and kept them in the greenhouse where they grew to about 4 leaves - and then stopped! I had to put them outside at the beginning of May as we were going away and I figured they would stand more chance if it rained on them.
They have grown no more at all. I have grown them in previous years without any problems. Any suggestions?

probably just the shock of the rotten weather we've had recently, 7° here last night.
If the weather stays warm, they'll soon catch up. Did you harden them off first? if not that's another shock for them.
I put some out a few weeks ago, they've barely grown since, but had much the same last year and a few weeks of warm, not too wet (wishful thinking!) weather and they'll be away.
Make sure they're in well drained soil. They don't like wet roots.

I think the lack of sun has a lot to do with things. A lot of my stuff hasn't grown much, and ive sowed two lots of seeds in the last couple of months and they both failed to germimate.
Thanks to everyone - I'll try a bit of feeding. I was loath to do it as the compost says it was good for 3 months.
I've moved some of them back into the greenhouse to see if that makes any difference.
It may be a blessing in disguise - we are having a garden party in September so maybe they will be in flower then !!
