Clouch or clear poly tunnel?

One of my raised beds contains seeds for beetroot - carrots and parsnips.
I have been given a fabrix type (white) clouch but i also have a plastic poly tunnel, which is best please???

Thanks for the reply, I do plan to make an 'A' frame with fine netting to cover the whole bed, just time as always.
