Pictures of the failures would be fun image even if it is only an empty pot image

My parsnips have scarcely germinated (grand total of 9 so far, in three whole rows). My mange-tout have not all appeared, and many of those that did have been ravaged by weevils. Autumn raspberries look a bit slow but may come good. Dahlias have vanished without trace.

Hope this makes someone feel better!

Nicotiana affinis. sown and pricked out at the same time as the smaller plant Nicotiana langdorffii. The latter almost filling a three inch pot. The former not big enough to pot on.image

Here's 4 of the underachievers. They were bought in 2012 as 1 litre plants.

a friend gave me a victorian tin seed box filled with all the seed packets you would need for a wonderful veg and flower garden. unfortunately she gave them to me in 1994. just rediscovered them this spring while excavating in the junk room- planted them all-so far out of 1000s of seeds one nasturtium has sprouted-hmmmm think they could be too old?

My under achiever this year is the under-gardener who failed to build a dam - but he doesn't give one.
