I have been given some Calla Lillies. They are the most beautiful colour. They look nearly black. Can anyone tell me how to care for them so the I can replant them next year or this autumn what ever time it should b
Mine has just started to flower! it has one deep purple bud reaching up. Exciting stuff. Had it for a good few years now and not managed to make it flower yet. I've always left it in the pot over winter. It dies back completely. I start to water it just around spring. I've repotted it each time it looks as if it could do with a bit more room. It seems pretty tough and has survived a fair bit of neglect. Hope this helps!
Hi .... just take care how you feed when you start watering again in Spring.
First year I just used normal houseplant feed and got too much foliage and no flowers. This year I've used tomato feed and got a good balance of flowers to leaves.

let them die down in autumn, keep dry and frost free over winter. start to water and keep warm and frost free next spring.
Thank you. Just one more question do I leave them in the pot , also can they be repotted.
thank You
You can leave them in the pot over winter. Repot in spring if they seem overcrowded.

Maybe thats why mine has taken so long to flower! I've always just given it Baby Bio. I'll have to try the tomato feed. Cheers Bee
Thank you all for your good advice. Will write it I my garden book?
