matthiola incana

i posted a while back that i'd seen a beautiful amazinglyscented plant, after researching i found it was  matthiola incana, but i was told at gc stocks aaren't perennial, i got some seeds, which have germinated,i also bought come bedding plants which have just started to flower, how can i ensure the any stay year after year? ever so sorry if i'm repeating myself, brain of a small fish!

    Hiya rosemummy. I would regard them as half hardy annuals, so you need to save seed and start again each year.

    thanks pd, have you seen the 2 plants in bot gdns? big woody srems, look loike they've been going a while

    Beth Chatto has a white one she got from Dixter that acts as a perennial, but  it is currently out of stock.

    I have seeds for matthiola perennis, which is described as a short life perennial
