How to get rid of 'Flea beetles'?

I have an attack of flea beetles on my aubergine plants. Luckily, I have noticed it before the leaves are completely eaten.  What's the best 'organic' solution. Will garlic spray help?

I'd give the garlic spray a go - seems to deter most pests.  Flea beetle can be hard to deal with.  Pyrethrum (extracted from chrysanthemums and sometimes called 'nature's insecticide') should kill them if a 'nearly' organic control is acceptable.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Try Diatomaceous Earth.  I use it to kill mites in my Hen House.  Works a dream!
