Evergreen standard turning yellow

StanyeWestStanyeWest Posts: 19

Hi there,

I was given two evergreen standard trees by my father in law and they were doing great until about two weeks ago when they started to turn yellow/die.

I'm a newby gardener so now idea what's wrong. I've fed and watered, but I did prune them about a month ago as they were out of shape - have I killed them?!

Any advice much appreciated!

looks like they've dried out. Remember the head will act like an umbrella, so even after rain , they might still be needing water.

Oh how embarrassing that it's something so straightforward - at this rate the rest of my garden has no chance!!

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it lots of water and make sure I water properly in the future.

    Thanks
