My bay tree's leaves have gone yellow. What can I do to rectify this.

Ours was 10 ft tall and did the same last year.  They then went brown and fell off: strange for an evergreen, I thought.  The bark was split, so we decided to cut it down to 2 feet and it is now a very healthy coppiced bay.  Is yours in a pot?  Has it got ants?

Bay's suffer from attacks by scale insects, which if heavily infested suck the life out of its host, check its trunk /stems for these little critters !!

Oh, edit isn't working again !! image

Forgot to say, it may need a feed if you haven't already done so, it may be lacking in nutrients. Sometimes yellow leaves are a sign that its hungry.
