What is wrong with my Veronica Spicata
Does anyone have any ideas why my veronica Spicata Royal Candles suddenly looks so unhealthy ?
I bought them last year, had them in pots and then moved them into a bed in the autumn. They have been growing well until I have just noticed they look very unwell currently.
Any ideas and how to nurse them back to health. they have buds on, but it just looks like all the leaves lower down are dying ??

No it is v sandy, so drains v well. Although it did chuck it down last week.
Maybe if you have sandy soil the nutrients have leeched out and they're hungry.
A quick acting liquid fed then some BFB for longer-term may help, but see what others say.

This wouldn't be due to ant damage would it. I have just scrapped back the soil and lots of red ants under there. obviously an ants nest under there.
Peanuts please can I hijack your thread?
My Veronica that was bought a few weeks ago has now finished all it's flowers. Do I cut it back ? If so will it flower again? It has plenty of new growth at the base. I thought it flowered all May & June.
Thanks Verdun it's Tissington white. Was in flower when I got it 3 to 4 weeks ago.
I managed to get my Veronica Spicata Royal candles to look slightly healthier (with some ant powder I have to admit.) but now the leaves have spots all over them.
Any ideas what this could be, and how I help them or prevent it again. thank you.
