droopy conifer branches

I have a group of conifers in my garden which are at least 12 ft tall and 2 weeks ago part of one of the conifers started to have drooping leaves. It looks like it needs a good drink however the other branches look perfectly healthy. There also seems to be new growth on the droopy branches but it's also pulling away from the rest of the trees exposing the dead interior branches of the other conifers. I would be very grateful for any help from someone who likes to garden but has little knowledge about it. Thank you
