wish there was a site like this when i first started gardening many years ago then maybe I wouldn't have wasted lots of money on plants that were not suited to the situation, its lovely to get advice and ideas.I wish you well , by the way I'm new to computers so please forgive any mistakes I'm what they call a silver surfer, good luck
Hi Michael N, you have a lot of potential with your garden, flat and not exposed. Looks like the neighbours are nice, one has a greenhouse and the other a bird feeder You have children so that to some degree will govern what you grow, games of footie on lawn? Nothing with thorns, spikes ?
hi michael, i joined similar time to o.l, i've had great advice too and our garden certainly shows improvement, i'm not mad at all.....stop laughing please everybody
Hi all I've posted a couple of times but am new too! I've dabbled before at my last house but now I have a wreck of a house to renovate which came with a big garden. I've been out there in all weather every weekend last year and this and, Michael, I think everyone will agree that once you get going, gardening is addictive. It's also good for the soul

I'm bonkers, of course. Welcome to the madhouse.
Plenty of room for fruit and veg there. You don't want too much of that pretty stuff you can't eat.

Hello Marg48
Hi Michael and Marg
and welcome
I'm relatively sensible compared with some - if they're good I'll bake a cake - if I'm not out in the garden laying on the grass staring into my pond
That garden looks full of potential and doesn't have anything awful to dig out or get rid of from the looks of things.
What sort of things would you like in your garden?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
