choisya ternata

I have a well established (10+yrs) and prolific choisya ternata which has failed to flower this year. Any suggestions as to why this should be?

Does it look nice and healthy except for the lack of flowers Colin?

  • The bush has been pruned regularly every year after flowering in late spring. It is looking very healthy.

  • I didn,t mention earlier that two or three flowers did appear some weeks ago but none since.

Not forced to help you but anything in my garden that fails to flower gets a tomato feed. image

  • Thanks.I'll try that but probably too late for this year.

Colin mine has flowers and looks like some more to come, maybe worth a try. Maybe also a weak ericaceous feed, but I'm no expert, mine are in big pots so I have to feed them. image

All the choisyas I've ever known have flowered in the late spring/early summer - I wouldn't give up hope yet - are there no signs of buds at all?
