Damson Trees

Hi, I'm new (probably guess that) so here is my question - I have two very leafy damson trees (bought from a car boot sale) they seem healthy enough but have never flowered - I've had them about 3 years now, and never fruited.  I grow them in pots in my border.  I change the top layer of earth each year, as suggested and feed regularly and  just wondered if they will ever flower and fruit or will I just be having nice leafy trees?  Thanks

They probably are not big enough to flower yet and in any case would be far better in the soil. Damson trees on their own roots get quite tall. Ours are well over 25 feet in poor soil.
