I recently purchase a calathea rosa but the new leaf that has opened is very limp and very pale in colour to the others is this right and the big leaf looks odd on the dark leaved plant.
I used to have a big calathea many years ago - casting my mind back I recall it did much the best in filtered light away from the window. It also hated draughts. It was also a bit fussy about watering - I think it hated being too wet.
