What should we do with peonies now that the rain has knocked all their petals off? Should I deadhead? Should I tie them up, cut them back or leave to droop everywhere?

I have exactly the same problem. Just when they were about to put on a lovely display the rain came and they are flattened. Hope someone can give us both some advice.
It,s palacios glide who' s got lots of paeonia knowledge, haven't seen him for a few days though
