Hi I am currently preparing the ground to lay turf. The area is a really heavy clay soil and was previousley covered with membrane and bark chippings, I am wondering whether i should dig in some of the bark chippings which are partially composted down or would that not be a good idea????? Please help !!!

I wouldn't. The lawn might not like competing with something that is still composting down.
