I don't know if mine is cold pressed ... I just got it from ebay a few years ago ... wasn't expensive and will last me a long time (I also use it on other plants bothered by chewing insects such as lilies).

I do put a few drops of washing up liquid in.
I keep bees so only spray late evening when they are not active as a drenching would not be too good for them!

Hilary, they do indeed overwinter in the soil at the base of the bush - so you outwitted the critters by moving the bush. Congratulations!
I thought I'd avoided them this year, then out of nowhere they were stripped bare. Poor plants.
