Moving grasses
in Plants
I have the opportunity to acquire some of my neighbours ornamental grasses, but I'm sure I have read somewhere that grasses can only be moved and replanted at very specific times of the year. Is this correct and would I get away with it now. The grass in question, I think, is a form of variegated moor grass.

Most grasses are springing into growth right now.
You certainly need a time when it is warm, and showery, and preferably when the plants are growing vigourously.
I would have thought that now is the ideal time.
But I know nothing about 'variegated moor grass'.
i moved some varigated grass 3 weeks ago it should be fine just ensure it has plenty of water for a week or two once moved
Can you divide ornamental grass? If so I pressume you just dig it up and divide it with a spade?
