Greetings from Snowmaggedon Oh my lord I've never seen so much snow. We've now managed to shift most of from the drive and OH got car out to drive grandson to Liverpool as he is going to London . All main roads and motor ways fine now and thankfully there's a thaw on. I've never seen anything like it - a foot of snow in an hour. So relieved to get home last night but feel so sorry for those who were trapped in their cars. We've all had a dig out today so cul-de-sac not so bad now.
Flo - that doesn't sound good . Hope you get the electrics sorted soon. Read that but a lot to catch up on. Oh, and Bunny's photos. haven't taken any cos I never want to see it again .
Yes, all miscreants forgiven - until next time I've been converted from a hag by Aslan the lion who says you have to be nice to your fellow forkers. Matinee went quite well, the daughter of one of the actors shouted 'Hello Daddy' when he appeared on stage - aaah - and a few of the younger members of the audience were a bit put out by the explosions. OH found out that the Big Bad Wolf can fix leaky roofs so that's a bonus. Just hope it's not too rainy tonight though the bowl is still in place on the bed.
Jean, it sounds as if you're in a different country!! You didn't arrive through a wardrobe by any chance?
Lovely snow pics, sorry forgot whose - it always looks so picture-skew.
Flo - Last night I thought I WAS !! Pretty scary stuff - I know now why people are advised not to travel but we would have never set off if we knew what was coming. It just happened so quick.
Glad the matinee went well and you managed to stay upright. Would be nice to see some pics.
Never thought I would say this but it's starting to rain. YIPPEE. !

A poem
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a little SatNav.
It sits there in my car.
A SatNav is a driver's friend,
It tells you where you are.
I have a little SatNav.
I've had it most of my life.
It’s better than the normal ones.
My SatNav is my wife.
It gives me full instructions,
Especially how to drive
"It's thirty miles an hour," it says,
"You're doing thirty-five."
It tells me when to stop and start
And when to use the brake,
And tells me that it's never, ever
Safe to overtake.
It tells me when a light is red
And when it goes to green.
It seems to know instinctively,
Just when to intervene.
It lists the vehicles just in front
And all those to the rear
And taking this into account,
It specifies my gear.
I'm sure no other driver
Has so helpful a device,
For when we leave and lock the car,
It still gives its advice
It fills me up with counselling
Each journey's pretty fraught,
So why don't I exchange it
And get a quieter sort?
Ah well, you see, it cleans the house,
Makes sure I'm properly fed.
It washes all my shirts and things
And…keeps me warm in bed!
Despite all these advantages
And my tendency to scoff,
I really wish that just for once,
I could darn well turn it off.
The token male
Lovely poem, did you write it? My OH says I'm like your OH!
I hope Darren has his leg up while searching for gardening courses. My son had the op. and played rugby again. (until he did in his other knee!)
Snowed this morning but it's all melted.
Geoff
I am afraid I only know decimals
Liz
I never do that
Mustn't forget that. Starts 8.15am, I think. Easy to forget it at that time.
Liz - I think Mr Google may have helped him with that poem
I pinched it
Dont worry Gary-contant tennis updates will be posted whilst I pace about
Kate you are showing your age
