Hi Guys, nice to be back in the warmth, just drying out as I have been absolutely soaked through today, It's not stopped here today, some more wonderful trees and decorations on show well done everyone,  noted the comment on the coke truck which made me smile as we always think christmas has arrived when that advert is shown, the truck was given to me a few years back by someone who has sadly passed away now and I've never seen another like it, it has flashing lights all over the trailer and has become a cherished part of our decorations. Off for some tea and a noggin of something warming.

Just read the story about the poor dog in China, staying with its mate how touching is that, brought a tear to my eye,

  • I saw the picture Norm and decided I couldn't read it. Once saw a pigeon walking round and round the body of its mate which had been hit by a vehicle. We also had a pea hen which pined away when the peacock was killed on the road. It decided to stay in a couple of gardens near where it died.

Aye funny things animals, we don't often associate them with having feelings or emotions but I know from the dogs I've been fortunate enough to have that they definitely do, they have a sense which knows when your coming home, when your sad etc, my old german shepherd supposedly a big tough dog would cry and howl like a baby when I went to work, I used to joke with the missus that she loved me more than she did image.  I fear were maybe getting a bit morose and apologies if I've been party to that but that story did upset me so as I've now finished work for christmas let's lighten the mood who's organized, zippy has a tree in a plastic bag, Jo or at least I think it's jo has three rings on her hob and were off tommorrow for the "big shop" ouch I fear my wallet will take a bashing.

Well Norm, at least the date stamps will be ok for Christmas and left-overs, tomorrow. we're having Christmas on Sunday - only day could get whole family together, - and it has been very difficult to source long date stamps

Now we are not sure about family either as eldest son and brand new baby and partner are hoping to travel on Saturday, living here, it may be difficult for them to get to us. He was talking about coming off motorway, thing is in this county with so many rivers motorway is probably easiest route. We will see on Saturday.

Think I've wrapped last of pressies this evening - 2 celebrations tomorrow (hic). One with swimming group and one with all the neighbours.

  • I think animals have a lot more emotions than we give them credit for,  when my Lydia passed away my friends dog who I go see on a lunch time used to put his head on my knee so I could cry onto it,  he had quite a few wet heads over the past few weeks and in fact still does at least twice a week,  they give their love unconditionally  so they deserve our love as well,  I'm off to bed now so I will bid all you forkers that are still up  night night  image

I relly must wrap my pressies and ice the Christmas cakes as wellimage

    Hello everyone image

Just having a browse before I call it a night.

Sorry to hear your news Dean. I do remember your posts about your friend, at least by trying what she did with her diet she held onto some control.

I am glad tomorrow (actually today, looking at the time) is the end of term.

I am ready to flop but will have to step up a gear with the Christmas prep.

Cards still to finish, decorations still to finish, presents to buy, wrap.....

    Love the tree pics! image

Well, forkers, I see you are now into tomorrow and the world hasn't ended yet. My niece messaged me from Bali, and everything is fine there too. Bad news for all those who were hoping to escape the credit card bills--but looks like all that Christmas prep is not in vain! I'm off to bed now!
