India is a warm country-where you can get a job, working odd hours, phoning people in other countries who don't want to talk to you and tell you to go away-but at least you get a tanimage

Dean -the usual highs and lows today-nothing changes

The bangs have started-this will go on until at least next weekend

Jo . that sounds like a really good idea. Think I 'll have a look on their website. Sounds ideal for cooking smaller dishes. I usually make large quantities of meals and use the tubbits to freeze them in . That way if I can't be bothered cooking I can take something out and we eat a lot of jackets  as well. I was toying with the idea of buying a halogen cooker once. When we went camping with friends , a full roast dinner was cooked in one of them image

Glad you had a good night Dean. image £400 for fireworks ? image Bet you were glad you didn't have to foot the bill !

All quiet on the western front - haven't heard a single firework yet image

Dean. meant to ask you. Did you notice a difference when you had yours done ? Ours was free as well - same thing but a lot of people near me paid for theirs to be done . The scheme only started 6 months ago so my purse stayed intact. image

  • It's the Czech Republic's best kept secret!

Jo! - That actually looks like one serious piece of kit! May venture further!

Beck's - You have to invest! Does a cracking "Toad in the hole" apparently!

  • Jean! Sorry! The site is playing up tonight! n going so slow!

Defoe noticed the difference! I get up at silly hour! n OH hates the boiler on early doors, It disturbes her sleep with it being an eco boiler with a fan that makes a bit of a whizzing noise!

So I grab my clothing n get dressed in the front room below, which is still warm from the heating running from the night before! You will notice! Believe Me!

Oh goody ! image Thanks Dean. I'm hoping to see a bit of a reduction in my fuel bills but at the rate they are rising ...................... Well we'll have to wait and see.

As usual Remoska it was one of OH's impulse buys! image But for once it has paid off. If you've got space, as not small overall, it's a good buy IMO.

The rice cooker- no. OH again, but although I agree that the rice was nice when done that way, it was no quicker nor easier than a pan on the hob & more fiddly to wash up! That's in the pile for charity shop- we have one locally that takes electrical things. His latest craze is cooking rice in the oven- not here, but at the little house he rents.

I did buy him a breadmaker for Christmas 01. Unfortunately he really wanted a small TV for his workshop & the box was a similar size. Ungrateful so n so! He took it back!

His eventual TV, that daughter & me got him one birthday, has also to be put to the charity shop pile as we just dont watch any tv when in bed, so no point in keeping. Along with the videos that could be played on it.

I need to get him to check out our old portable tv up there at the mo as am sure it's lost its' colour, & again cant remember when either of us actually used it. Also with the advent of small flat screens nowadays the size of them both is daft. That tv will end up at tip, once am sure it's bust! J.

Just been on website , Jo. I could be tempted. There seems to be a lot of food you can cook in it. image

The fireworks have just started - just seen one out the window that resembled a small scud missile. image
