    My download speed is 9791 kbps and upload speed is 1001 kbps - is this good or bad image

    That's the fastest we've seen from anyone here this morning.

    I didn't know whether it makes any difference whether your laptop is connected to the hub wirelessly, or using a cable. I've just tried it both ways, and it doesn't make much difference. The wireless connection was marginally faster.

    My laptop wasn't plugged in when I did the test . Would that have made any difference ?

    Mine seems rubbish...rural though was a new cable in 07 , we brought broadband into entire street (20 houses) hehe

    I'm rural too, about 2 miles from the exchange, and am only a bit slower than super-Pam.

    Using the ipad should be just like using a laptop wirelessy. There should be no difference.

    Pam's is not much faster than mine, which is using old-fashioned telephone cables. Fibre optic cable should be massively faster.
