    Job is going very well yes, thanks Geoff  and Kate. Won't be a stranger but until we've had that wedding it's gonna be somewhat quieter on my part. But at te moment I'm still reading all those messasges I've missed; I did read that I can congratulate Lottie on her birthday, Lilylouise is very busy with getting her garden ready, Geoff is getting some male support but need more catching up to do...image

    Diner prep now as I'd like to do some gardening this evening; we're having fresh spinach and meatloaf . Strawberries, blueberries and banana in vanilla yoghurt for afters, yum yum.

    We do have french beans that are only two feet tall (small) but they are mainly grown by the farmers, flowers are a good sign.

    @Geoffimage

    I was concerned about the beans because they only appear to have a couple of leaves.

    @Flower will you not be watching the footy tonightimage What sort of dress will you be wearing to the wedding?

    Hello,all-great to hear from you,Flowerchild. Supposed to be sunny today--but quite grey at the moment.

    The plants I thought were volunteers from my bayberry have turned out to be something else---probably some red amaranth-quite attractive, but I confess I'm a bit disappointed. They are growing very well, though--a couple are a foot tall.

    On the beans if they flower early that is a sign of stress- they want to set seed-they will probably grow as normal now Summer is here for 72 hours-enjoy

    It is going to be an expensive month-hols and road tax to pay forimage

    Have just been listening to radio- England just need a point to go through-such insight should be rewarded-forgetting that Ukraine just need to win-Roy has reminded all that it is an away gameimage

    Geoff no sympathy for going on holiday from this quarter.image I will ask the plants how I can help with the stress, chocolate helps me but not sure it is what they need.

    No footy, I do not like it at all, never have. As a child I had to watch it every Sunday when we went to my Grandparents so now I see as little footy as I can. We did get some of these orange firework-things and had planned to use them when the Dutch team lost but we both fell asleep so couldn't annoy the neighbours.

    Mmm, a dress.....to be honest, I never wear one so it 'll probably something with linnen trousers.

    Hi Inka, glad to meet you on this thread again. How's life in your beautiful corner of the world? Hope the sun comes shining through for you. I find that grey mornings - unless it's raining - are often followed by sunny afternoons.

    I love Amaranthus', especially in a large bouquet  with (wild) summer flowers and grasses.

    @ Kate, isn't that the normal time for stembeans to flower? I would think that the leaves have to do with the weather off late and the beans are doing their usual thing.
