Unfortunately it was all Italyimage Oh well the qualification for the next World Cup starts soon, if only we could find a goal scorer.

The sun has come out here, I might try moving some more plants out of the cold frame, I had thought that it would be empty by now.

KG sounds like a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Well-watched my first bit of telly football for a few years so I can have a meaningful debate -unfortunately seemed to have picked the wrong match-oh dear England you were comparatively poor and on the night the better team one.

From the forecast it is getting to get hot, hot, hot this week but very muggy-sunny at the moment

I have bag packing to do-nothing like being well preparedimage

How much stuff are you taking? Will you need several rackets?

Have you played the plane game?

Do you think I might be called up?

I need enough stuff to sustain me for the loooooong day-should I take Robinson's Barley Water,a change of shirt and a banana?

I did I found it a bit weirdimage

You never know when someone may be stuck in traffic and you could start the match for them, or play along with Cliff.

The village fete was ok to start off with, the parade was good but after that the heavens opened, and I was very glad of my gazebo. Some of the events in the arena got cancelled - the gymnastics for instance, and the man offering tractor rides got fed up and went home (on his tractor). But most things went ahead ok and I even managed to pick up a hardy fuschia from the plant stall for £1.50!

Some sad news, Daisy chicken died on Friday night. She wasn't got by anything as she was just lying in the run so it looks like natural causes. So we now have 4 chickens. Then yesterday someone left the chicken house door open and the girls came out and Alfie was in the garden, but he didn't go near them - probably as they are almost as big as he is now!

I haven't been to village fete since my Ash days-are they allowed to sell cakes or is that now verboten?

Lottie, sorry to hear about Daisy. But, at least like my Rose, it seems to be natural causes. "  (that's meant to be a chicken)

Lottie sorry about Daisy but pleased to hear your had fun at the fete.

Geoff what are your Ash days? You would not want to be called Ashley todayimage I think you may need to cut a few more lawns before you can have a cream tea.
