Have just planted 3 of my roses and heeled in 2. Have also typed up on plant list what and where they are.

In one place nearly made a pot for you all such wet clay. OH just shouted at me because of state of shoes, well more mud than shoes. He is now chopping wood to make sure we are well stocked up for the cold.

In that old garden book I found it says December is a good time to top dress, delphniums, peaonies and something else with wood ash. Have so much of stuff will follow old garden knowledge and do so, but not now. Now is mug of tea time.

  • Oh,Jean, that's terrible. No wonder Becks is feeling poorly if she was allowed to dry out.  image

Another alternative, Geoff. I could always have my body made into a diamond or even a box of pencils.

Q: Which is the odd one out: a carrot, a spud, a knife?

    A: Carrot.

Because you can make chips with the other two.

wood ash or bonfire ash can be put on crowns of delphniums, peonies, lupins and bulbs such as lilies, gladiolus, and camassias - 2 handfuls a plant it says

Just thought you may like to know especially those who burn wood.

Havng my mug of tea now. About to light fire.
