They were two days late last week and a day late this week-we do get a calendar and other reminders but some people do not think-quite often the wrong thing gets put out.
Of course your neighbour could at this moment be thinking the same about you
I feel I have no hope of a tomato crop this year - no greenhouse, and the poor plants are still indoors because its been so awful. Someone on the plot put theirs out and they already look blighted.
Slow start today--got up at 3am, read for a couple of hours, reemerged just now.Yesterday I wasted more than an hour of gardening time waiting for the call that would tell me to start activating the neighborhood phone tree for an emergency preparedness drill. Finally, it came-only to say it had been cancelled.
Good thing the only emergency is tent caterpillars-there was a serious fire here 6 years ago, and some people had to be evacuated. Hope they get their act together!
First year I've grown ordinary peas and now see they're going to grow way higher than the mesh support I put in for them. Tried to tie up huge branch of blush Noisette Rose which got blown down in that storm last week. Sort of bodged it, but think will have to call on Bloke for a bit of help. Saw the Chieftains in the Albert Hall on Friday, we had a box bang opposite the stage. I hoofed all the chairs out so we could dance. Great fun.

I have checked on the councils website.
Where are my perennials?
Still sunny
I think you are going to have to knock on the door or this will trouble you for the rest of the day-is this a neighbour you talk to-I am never sure
Still cloudy but not cold-I am dressed for a heat wave

Flipflops?
We are on speaking terms but not on knocking terms. The thrift house has had a security engineer visit today
Remember the trailing begonias from last year?-just about to flower again -and there are patches of blueness in the sky.
If you knocked that that would be the next step, then it will be a BBQ, holidays together a whole new world beckons over recycling dilemma
Lottie-what are you growing down the allotment -how are the P couple?
Lottie it will have to be a midnight raid of Geoffs greenhouse
We have tried but have nothing in common other than discussing the other neighbours.
My begonias are already flowering
Rub it in why dont you?
I have an announcement to make
