  • Geoff I will be visiting Soton soon - you may discover all the apples disappear overnight!

No point offering free stuff outside my house - its a cul-de-sac, only 3 neighbours actually go past!

I used to love Ikea when we lived in Belgium, you could go there and wander round and there were never any crowds. Here its like a madhouse.

My link for the day, One, two, three, ahhh......

Lottie-ahhh-I hope they stay togetherimage-the apples are still on the wall

Do you think it will be a knighthood-my mother always said she would crown meimage-if she could get my name right

    Gary-I'll take that

Kate-why do you want a log burner-don't say for burning logsimage

A log burner sounds so warm and toasty. It is wet and grey hereimage

Geoff I am afraid that whilst I can put in requests, queenie herself makes the decision on whether it will be a CBE or a knighthood. I wonder if she is a member of the forumimage

  • Log burners are lovely and so cosy - we had one but had to remove it when we put the new fireplace in as apparently the composite stone wouldn't stand the heat!

What is odd is that people had open fires-which were a lot of trouble-had those replaced with gas fires and central heating and now we are going back to burning logsimage

Here are photos of same area of garden. I have really only pathed and planted this year and is still very much work in progress. You can see why we have a log burner - loads of free wood! This is about third of garden and it looked better before autumn rains came.

Bloke in digger is next door neighbour who decided to do root clearance for us and he had a little digger for building work

Whoops! somehow manged to get photos in wrong order.

Now room heated up really feeling cosy and it looks so good with the flames licking the logs. Trying to make forumers (is that the right made up word?) jealous !
