There used to be a huge expanse of grass near an out-of-town branch of Tesco's not far from here. Earlier this year Coventry Council Parks Dept ploughed it all up, and sowed a wild flower meadow. Some locals think that it looks 'a mess'. I think it's brilliant...
I don't know whether this idea is replicated across the City, or whether other councils are doing this sort of thing too

Is it just me or is anyone else still having problems with this site - taking ages to load , can't click on anything and sometimes won't let me type ! Pain in the butt !!!!

You know you are a winter person?-well I am the opposite-Christmas is lovely when you have young kids but now it is just nothing special.
Don't like dark nights or dark mornings, snow, ice -a right winter grump
Forgot -the strawberry is probably spiltting because of irregular watering when it is ripening

Kate, I love seeing striped lawns!! My rollermower is supposed to be able to give that effect, but it never does!
