    Still havent phoned the Aunt- oops!

    Think shall go & clean the bathroom first & quickly hoover where I need to, then shant be sooo ratty when do phone her back as promised. Tennis not grabbing me either match at the mo.

    Have just wondered if BG were phoning to tell OH about the replacement gas meter we are overdue after the spectacular failure of the prototype smart meter that was replaced just before Christmas. Too late now, sorry..........J.

    I do think some people like cutting and pruning, one part of their life they can control. Just wish they would do it quietly. My neighbour is watering his gardenimage, his OH has the girls aroundimage

    It is surprising how variable the weather is considering how small this island is.

    I dread it when I see Barry going into the garden with his secateurs image He loves pruning and tying plants up even if they don't want to be - I  go round the garden with my scissors when he isn't looking  and cut some of the strings - the plants say thankyou for doing that image Don't tell him,anyone image

    It's a weird year all round: I have just picked rhubarb, raspberries and redcurrants from my garden: there used to be a 2 month gap between them.  I am sorry that I can't offer my bumper crop all round.  There's only just enough for us ...

    Have been taking some pics-the first dahlia has bloomed ,the bargain petunias and the nasturiums are looking good, the gazania loves the sun and the year old sweet williams are still goingimage

    @lilylouise, OH is not allowed secateurs, otherwise there would be no flowers

    Geoff you could be neighbourly and tidy the handkerchief or we could send in a cleaning dervish if we knew oneimage

    Smallswan-you've been quiet -is the garden now sorted?

    Pam-what can we do with them-there is a rose that needs cutting back she keep looking longingly at it ignoring the flower budsimage
