Jean they are very healthy looking plants.

I have been sorting out compost, messy work but worth the effort.

I go through phases with authors-use to read all of Martina Cole but got fed up with the formula-East End gangster family/ bad girl done good sort of stuff.

The Scandinavian novels seem to have more depth to them

I'm quite pleased with my new clematis. They've got a good healthy root system and are nice and green- only little plug plants but a fair bit of growth on them I'll pot them up and see what happens.  I sent for 2 free ones last year and both have done really well - Ernie M had loads of flowers!

There is a very large black cloud looming over. I've just been watching news and there was a tornado in Bolton. Hope it's not on it's way over here.

Jean when I started gardening I took up some of those clematis offers. With no knowledge of clematis wilt I killed several but the ones that did survive are now glorious.

    Still very warm here.

Am listening to a Russell Brand interview-why does he polarise opinion so much?-I like him

After yesteyday's telly wilderness there is some good stuff tonight- a Peter Kay concert on Ch4-the latest one- and The Best Of Men on BBC2 about the birth of the Paralympics and Stoke Mandeville hospital-both start at 9

I have seen both sides of RB I cannot decide how much is an act and how much is genuineimage I think he would be great fun on a night out but not sure if you would want to invite him around for dinner.

    What about Beechgrove?

  • sotongeoffsotongeoff Posts: 9,802

Beechgrove is back to 7.30 tonight -recorder is set- that is for brekkie viewing.

RB is doing a programme about drug addiction on BBC3 tonight-it is not about aspirin
