Look at this - My sundew is flowering ! At least something isimage - this is my first time growing carnivorous plants. Must be doing something right. Venus fly trap has a flower stalk as well but have to cut it off as it can weaken the plant. Geoff how are your pitcher plants doing ?

Jean the one that died I cut it right back-no sign of life -I think that is it-the other two are fine- the bigger one is sticky on the outside leaves-is that normal?

HH-I have come to these programmes late- was watching The Bridge went on holiday-set the recorder-cocked it up and missed the final four episodes-I am hoping it will get a repeat.

Occasionally you get an English phrase thrown up- "spin doctor" was one

Yes Geoff that's how they attract their prey . Is it an upright one like this or does it have pitchers that hang down ? There are 2 types . The one that has died I would leave until next year - it may come back to life.

It is like that-upright pitchers but the plants are a lot smaller-they were selling them again the other day-now at £4.50-have given mine the odd fly when it is goodimage
