Kate - is it a horsefly bite ? If so I read that vinegar helps. I tried it last night and it does seem to stop the itching but the house smelt like a takeaway. I took an antihistamine and use HC45 cream - can't use it now though as skin is broken so back to savlon.
Geoff - if it had have been the 18th century you would have burnt at the stake with having a third nipple !
Sotongeoff. It's call a snail vine because the flowers resemble a snail shell so the description says, I might just give it a whirl to satisfy my curiosity. Sympathy goes out to all you bite sufferers, vinegar does seem to work, but I find they usually have to get better on their own no matter what you do.
In the Daily Mail this morning there is a gadget that zaps the bite with electrical impulses call Zap-It (very apt) from amazon for £4.19 supposed to help stop the itching.
Hi Becks - you made me laugh reading about the chocolate fingers. We used to play a little party game with them - it involved a packet of chocolate fingers and a bottle of Malibou. Everyone would get a shot and you had to drink the Malibou through a choc finger ! Tasted like an alcohlic Bounty bar - couldn't touch the stuff now.
Something random for everyone thats been bitten - Indian tonic water has quinnine in it and if you drink it it can help ward off insect bites. So for all you lot that enjoy a G and T !!!!

Does this mean you are going to shell out for a snail vine?

I can't resist, my curiosity gets the better of me and away I go, more money spent, but nothing ventured as they say.

Won't work for me - can't stand gin.
Well I order at about 8pm online, and it arrives the next morning, so no.
Will you need a special bra fitting for your third nipple!
