Men's marathon is on now - wonderful images of London landmarks and massive crowds - more interesting than the race itself.

    Morning all - just.
Have had to clean up after a mouse party in the bin & recycling cupboard in the kitchen :- (  Shouted at dogs three times in the night for barking - obviously they knew something we didn't.

Kate, glad the evening was better than expected. I always think it a shame when the music is so loud it spoils the chance to have a good natter.

Gary, I hope you're coping with the Marathon without me.

Had a shower here too and very windy.

Kate, that sounds like a lively wedding, hope you swirled your ribbon for us. My favourite dancing song is 'We love to boogie on a Saturday night' (you have to read that to the Robinsons ad music). I'm a 70s girl at heart! I jig around the living room when the ad comes on,it's the only chance I get to dance now.

It is sweltering here, I have just been out to water the garden. Now watching the closing stages of the marathon.

I read an article about the closing ceremony, it should be great. We will all be up dancing.

    Flo mouse party, yuk.

Hi everyone . big change in the weather - high winds and heavy rain. Wish I was in your part of the world Kate.  Glad you survived the wedding.

We sat out until 10 last night - it was really warm . Everyone had a good time and left about midnight so not doing much today except play with buttons on remote. Got a fright when I woke up - forgot about the tree being chopped and then discovered large horsefly bite on my leg. Rather than put another post on forum I need suggestions for planting under tree please . There's a lot more light now but soil is thin and dry due to the roots.

Geoff , sorry I thought you meant I was collecting stamps ! I haven't seen any stamps either. Saw your marathon now I need chocolate. That bite is getting bigger.

How big do Ox -eye daisies grow Kate ? Don't recall ever growing daisies but I like the idea .image  Are they white ?

Jean-I have spring bulbs growing under a tree-they flower before the tree gets going.

Glyn, I love 'We love to Boogie' as well, can't sit still.

Jean, that bite sounds just awful. I hope it's not getting worse. Cyclamen thrive in my garden in skimpy soils under trees.

Geoff, wicked person putting choccy thoughts into our heads.
