No gold certainties today, but lots of podiuming possibilties (podiuming is participle of the verb podium).

Chance of podiuming in women's canoeing (Rachel Cawthorn, 10am).

Long distance women's swimming in the Serpentine (12-3pm). Keri-Anne Payne has a good chance of podiuming. Possibly the chance of a G.

Nicola Adams (boxer) has already silvered, so we have so we just have to see if she might possibly gold (4.30pm). (After careful consideration, have decided that silvered is not the past tense of gold, but is a separate verb, cf golded).

Gee-gees attempting to gold, but still strong competition.

Chance of podiuming in women's Taekwondo (Jade Jones, her 1st heat at 10.20am, final (if she gets there) 10.15pm).

    For non-GB-podiuming entertainment...

Semi-finals of women's handball this afternoon. It's quite exciting. I might have a peep.

Also women's freestyle wrestling for heavyweight categories today. It was the lightweight categories yesterday. They were like pit-bulls fighting. Fascinating in a strange way.

Usain Bolt goes for the double (and at 2 Lympics in a row), and a place in history, tonight (8.55pm).

Is your real name Stephen Fry by any chance?

Gary, you are better than the radio times! Those canoeists look quite impressive paddling in unison. Podiuming sounds so wrong!

Glorious sunny day here, hopefully we will get some more medals, the plants will get a move on and all will be well in the world.

I think I will practise podiuming in privateimage
