    Love asparagus, Jo- but have no place to grow it. Wonder if I could grow samphire? Will check it out.

    I don't like samphire.  It tastes too salty.

    I enjoyed watching the dressage on the iPlayer yesterday.  The iPlayer coverage is really good.  You can just choose which sport you want to watch.

    My gardeners delight look suspiciously blighty.  I have them a good squirt of bordeux mixture but am not feeling very confident. image

    Kate-all the English stuff the car can carry-I like the country but am not sure I am yet able to fully embrace le culture

    KG-how are the french beans doing?

    The beans are loving it in the conservatory.  I have already started eating them. image  Such a relief to have anything at all growing!  Where are you?  (I haven't managed to read all the previous posts)

    I liked the dressage too, they look so elegant. I think the coverage of all the sports is great, have watched some on the red button too. BBC website good too, lots of info.
