  • I will provide courgettes sauteed in butter with garlic (over pasta), courgette soup and courgette cake (yes its yummy, honest!).

I like the idea of a pj party, but I'm also very tempted by a onesie!

Didn't those 2 brothers do well in the triathlon, couldn't help thinking I bet their mum was proud (as the mother of boys!)

@Jean, yes, all seemed a bit odd. As Geoff says, BBC commentators also seemed to think so.

Hi Geoff Lottie Gary and everyone else - sorry for going a.w.o.l. Had a busy day yesterday - family stuff. Daughter selling house , Grandson driving me nuts  . Daughter wants to sell a.s.a.p. after nasty divorce , she was looking at '' We want to buy your house . com '' and other rip-off merchants. Thankfully she has now been talked out of it .

Didn't see much of the Olympics but thought that Doctors Note thing most strange.

My life in pictures lately :

Hi Jean, sorry you're having a rough time at the moment. I think we worry more about our children when they are grown up than we ever did when they were still living at home. Things seem so much tougher now for them than we we were starting out in life.

Well my little trip didn't produce anythingimage

Those sites- like "we will buy your car"-are rip off-the trouble is this is still not a good time to sell -so what do you do sit tight or take what you can get?

The doctor note was a front -I was surprised it was accepted as an excuse-the other day he was banned for not trying

Pam - you are so right . At least when they were little you could pack them off to bed ! I can understand her wanting to be rid of the house but don't want to see her fleeced. Good thing is the house is all hers so HE doesn't get a penny.  Judge awarded everything to her. Anyway , sorry for rambling . Whoever said that life gets easier when you get older.

Geoff - I think she just wants out . She has a good bit of equity so I don't think she minds taking a drop . Expect it's a case of what price do you put on happiness. The unmentionable person still lives in the same area with his new partner (who was her best friend at the time)  so I can understand why she wants to move but it's like you say - not a good time to sell. Here I go again - having a good old ramble !

    Ramble way

A drop is fine but those sites will give you nowhere like face value-they have to sit on it till it sells so they are taking a risk-the trouble is you pay for that risk

Has she considered renting it out?

Hope I've managed to upload a photo at last. I bought these begonias as plug plants but didn't expect them to do so well as they were tiny.

    Pam-

Those are similar to the plugs I bought last year-the corms that are produced I kept  and got an equivalent display this year for nothing -the weevils got a few but still had plenty.
