Very proud. I said a while ago that as a family if we can get through this then we can get through anything. So many friends said we'd be fine and rather than find it patronizing I knew they meant it and through their own experiences they knew it. One thing that stays in my mind is "to let them go you hang on to them" a good saying I thought. Im being brave now wait till end of next month I'll be in bits. Thanks Geoffimage

You wouldn't think this was a garden website you must add agony uncle to your list now. What a man of talent you areimage lucky Mrs Geoff

Jenny I did make the burgers myself, the last lot I bought had some small bits of bones in them and were very off putting. I went to work overseas when I was very fed up with life here, it was one of the best things I did and I came back.

It has been thunder and lightening here, most of this afternoon but in the dry half hour neighbour popped out to water the lawnimage

Kate,  what seasoning do you use I must say I much prefer homemade as you know whats in them that would have been horrible to find bits of bones.

The world is so small now with skype, email and mobile phones we should be alright but this is a young man we're talking about hes warned me now he wont be good at keeping in touch. I might say if on the 25th of every month he has to make the effort, well I can hope

Neighbour watered the lawn?? you have some neighbours down there!!!

Jenny I am now sort of retired and don't like to think of work-my last job was very fraught and not a nice memoryimage

Your job sounds as if it come from a tv script-like Monarch of the Glen or Dr Finlay-how/why did you start?

Jenny just pepper, turmeric, cumin, onions and mint sauce.

    Hurrah for medals.

I am sure that neighbour had visitors and this is his equivalent of urgent ironing.

Geoff I am sure that you will get lovely neighbours who will be asking for garden wisdom and recipes from Mrs Geoff.

    Evening all!

Jenny, glad your son is home safe. x And I'm a stay at home mum at the moment to Jess, 3 years old. Her Dad was a raging alcoholic, and died couple of years ago. No loss there. He was a violent pig. I was removed by police and put in a refuge when I was 7 months pregnant, and now in a council property. image

But raring to get back to work when Jess goes to school full time. image

Sorry to hear that Geoff its a long day at work when your not happy.

My life is!! Monarch of the Glen I work with a daft game keeper too. We have red deer on the estate. I always appreciate where I live and work. We moved to the Glen 20years ago and while I was out one day the previous housekeeper called in and asked my OH if I would call her, I phoned that night and two years later I took over as the housekeeper myself. I work for a lovely family who are based in London this house is their holiday home! I do appreciate that I love my job I think it would be a miserable existence not to.

I would like a couple of a certain age, with no children that scream, who look after the garden ,do not play loud music or park on the grass verge.

    A few simple conditions.
