It will come back and eat a plant now hmm..

Amazing what a day in the garden can do. We have a young mum living in our street that doesnt bother with her garden but her dad came out one day last week and strimmed and cut the grass. What a difference. She has a half barrel in the front garden I was going to offer her a plant for it, maybe just a hardy geranium that will look after its self just to finish off. It might even encourage her to keep it tidy

That is the point all the structure is there-the grass needs cutting there is enormous buddleia and viburnum that badly need cutting back-bindweed everywhere -so if someone just did that it would make a difference-it is such a shame as the previous, previous owner did a lot of work

I bet if you end up with a nice new neighbour you'll be straight in there giving a hand. image

I think this will not be a quick sell -it is way over priced-there is another house in the road going for £150000 -that does need work but not £50000 worth-he paid £165000 five years ago current value around £170000-so a drop of £30000 is a bit of a drop.

I have no idea where the agent is getting his figures from.

Another neighbour told me he is going to Australia as well-but does that depend on this?

Kate, complex team tactics adds to the mystique of the sport. Tactics get very complicated for some of the indoor track cycling events.

There is an individual event - each man for himself, in which we hope Brad will excel. 27 miles around Hampton Court Palace and environs, on Wednesday afternoon.

If you want some easy sitting down sports - there's cycling, and rowing, and sailing - in fact, all the sports at which we are the best at.

For absolutely minimum effort why not try shooting - you just have to exert one finger, can't ask for much less than that.

The word Peloton is Frence and means little ball or pack. It refers to cycling in a close bunch, and thus reducing effort and drag (just like a team does, but better).

Kate in my experience don't try shooting I hurt my finger to the point it was bruised, hurt for weeks that was clay pigeon shooting

Geoff What is it about Australia our eldest son is away next month. He is giving up on this country. I get so mad that people judge all young ones. I know that our son has tried so so hard to get a job. No one replies to applications either. We have watched that poor boy go through humiliation and depression over this last year. So between ourselves and the kindness of my parents he has been given the chance of a lifetime. The change in him is amazing he has a reason to get on with life again. So as soon as his passport arrives we will get him his visa and hes away. Ill be in bits but never mind that bit.

Dean I wear an old brown fleece shirt when gardening or around the house its starting to fray round the edges I'll be devastated when I ever throw it out. I might even keep it in a drawer. My younger son once said to me when he thought of me he thought of me wearing it!image

Jenny -I think you are being very brave -I remember what it was like when ours went to university-he didn't stick at but that is another story-you will be a wreck for a few days-but he will only be a phone call way, you can save up for a super holiday and if that is what he wants then that is a positive

Just try not to think about it too much or do a countdown -easy for me to say I knowimage

With tears in my eyes writing this. This has been the most positive we've all felt in a long time. Im so proud of him and hope he finds his life changes for the better over there. He left an apprenticeship because of bullying so for a long time he had a very negative attitude but with lots of hard work he is now back to the boy he was before with a little more life experience.. I press on him to leave all that behind him. I believe bitterness breeds so let it go. This parenting doesnt come with a book of instructions unfortunately and its damn hard work at times
