plug into computer download to folder on desktop then add to the post, could send direct from phone, but wireless is slow to upload.

Here's my lovely soil, note the clay and tonnes of stone, I'd say maybe 40% of my soil is rock, maybe more!

originally the side and front of the house is all lawn with a deciduous privet running as a hedge all the way along the outer wall. The guy who planted the hedge never trimmed properly so I cut it down to 3 ft as soon as I moved in. This hedge flowers and produces highly poisonous black berries, so I'm tackling it in 2 stages. Firstly I built the trellis partion, clematis on this side, climbing roses the other. Trellis acts as a wind break. Then I stuck all the borders in, dug to near 2 foot filled with manure at bottom then topped up with spent compost mixed with sifted soil. Roses and bulbs planted, and from the tap to the trellis my tree lillies. The front hedge remains for this year, but I'll be making a nursery bed and taking a load of Black thorn cuttings to replace the hedge with next year.

Now it's turning warmer I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I haven't put any pics of my back garden yet, it's grass with raised borders, keeping lawn for the kids.
