What an enthusiastic bunch this morning! Signs of the sap rising eh? Apart from Dean, the old slug-a-bed. And others who haven't turned up yet - though of course they could be out there sowing, planting, digging, heaving and other things horticultural already.
Off to try and rehome dogs this morning. Not my dogs - though they sometimes get threatened with that
I bought some tree lillies 2 years back and planted 3 per 14" pot, come up lovely, have now sorted my border and fencing so they were shifted last november to the border. Just remember to add plenty of grit under the bulbs and you should be fine. They didn't need staking and aside from one lily beetle I saw and crushed, trouble-free. Good Luck.
Good morning all Too much to do to read back so awared yourselves hugs/commiserations/congratulations as appropriate. Spring has sprung - a huge skein of greylag geese just flew over the house heading for their breeding grounds up north, calling noisily as they went - a wonderful sight and sound!!!
Now I must head for the shower, then the Farm Shop and the Garden Centre ... see you later ....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all. Up now again. Had to get up at 6 to let OH in. Been working nights and son left key on inside of door so he couldn't get in grrrrr. Lovely rose. Never had much luck with roses. Always end up covered in blackspot. Fancy those lilies though. Not sure if they are compatible with cats? Lovely sunny day here. Will be out as soon as been to supermarket for curry paste(which I forgot yesterday) Lots more tidying up. May go to GC. Not near seed section
Morning all, I am envious of your plans for the days. I am on my way to work now, had a bacon sarnie to sustain me. Happy gardening all, plant a few for me.
