An Olympic Torch would make an original garden ornament. Perhaps a Greek athlete/athletess bearing same (or a scarecrow) according to taste and style of garden - classical or rustic.
It was 6.00 on a Sunday morning on the way out of town and really did not expect to see many people-it was all over in minutes of course but even the police wave as they go past--met police police a lot of them-so a lot of cheering and happy people-

Here a just a few from this morning around 6.15
Have turned out the first container of potatoes this morning-4 tubers cost 50p-this is the result-not a bad return?
@Gary I feel inspired to make one
@geoff great photos, what was the atmosphere like?
I have dead headed, staked and tied for hours, the mini plugs have been potted on and all is well in the world

I cannot believe that many people were out at 6am???
I will not mention the potatoes
Sorry-but I was quite pleased with them- will not mention it again
Had a bit of a disaaaaster dahilng-went to use the mower and the fuel line has a split-have ordered a replacement but will have to wait-good old e-bay
Have you seem my garden photos?
The promised all day sun did not materialise-but the weather people say by the end of the week Summer will be here
I will have a look at your pics.
It may not have been sunny all day, but I could live with this, I just need to be able to get out there.
Will the split fuel line cause a ripple effect on your work?
I think I can handle it-if only I had a back-up mower
There is washing on the line but it isn't drying
Have you now whipped the garden back into shape?
Great photos, I love all those dahlias.
I would not say shape, but no longer a complete mess.
