I'm off to reboil the marmalade, I may be some time.

  • Hello all! Happy Page 1000!!

Been for a quick trip to the GC this morning to get a birthday present for my friend - her birthday is tomorrow. Then a trip into Camberley for various bits and pieces, and now home for an afternoon of tea and cake in front of a good film (I hope!)

I didn't have time for a long browse round the GC so will have to go back again (any excuse) as I noticed quite a few people at the tills with seed potatoes and I want to try a few of the varieties Pam suggested.

Becks, many congratulations on the new nephew!

Sasha, just don't wander off too far - stay in sight, ok?

Not at moment thanks. Have a confession to make. On Tuesday I had some salmon left over from the Do and a bone went in my throat. Thing is it's still there and getting painful and toast would hurt. Guess its the Docs tomorrow - not my fave place. I've tried bread immediately, drinks, gargling, eating! just stuck, I can feel it, But I can still eat etc. image

Oooh, Bjay. That's awful. I had the same thing happen once and it turned out that it had actually gone but scratched my throat quite badly. Hope it's easily sorted tomorrow.

  • Bjay, you may find its not actually still there but has scratched your throat and what you can feel is the scratch - but yes, definitely the docs for you tomorrow! Ouch.

A balloon? Don't mind if I do! Thanks Geoff.

The Queen Mother was involved in a famous incident (1993) when a fish bone was stuck in her throat. Can be nasty. Be very careful. Let's hope it was just a scratch.
