Oh no Jim! Just looked it up (very naive), now it's there in my computer history for all to see - how will I explain that! image

I had to look it up too Mrs G.  Wasn't what I expected!  We will point any investigators in the direction of Gardeners Worldimageimage

Poor Caral, I don't know where you are from but we all grow up with different dialects. I had a few problems when I came to Scotland.  The very clingy weed I knew by another name is called sticky willie here.  Your gardening style sounds a lot like mineimage

Haha! I'm so sorry, just discovered that 'filching' doesn't actually mean 'stealing' in the urban dictionary. Oh my goodness how embarrassing! *turns cherry red*  Didn't help how I finished my sentence with "I'm happiest playing in the dirt" image

That'll be 10 'Hail Marys' for me then.image

OMG.....just goggled it on my OH's iPad, worse than I thought but don't worry Caral, your secret is safe with us and we won't judge.....it makes 50 shades look mild!!

I actually don't know what's worse.....Caral saying it innocently or Jim being the only one that knew what it meant without having to google it imageimage

I will never be able to use the present particle of  'filch' again now. image  And if the Vicar ever tells me again that he has been in the church filching a couple of tea bags.. I will probably die!

Anyhow, today I have  filched snaffled a 4' by 2' section of lawn to plant my new London Pride and a few annuals.. image
